Gourmet Cutting and Charcuterie Boards






During all my life I used hundreds of cutting boards. Whether they were my own or from family or friends, in my home or other place, in Argentina, Germany, Mexico, USA…they all had some things in common: they became the protagonist at least for a while in their lifetime. When the food is served, whether a juicy Argentine steak or a crumbling baguette with Italian prosciutto, the board not only supports the food, it showcases it…it is inevitable the board to be seen.
Two things can happen…the board passes unnoticed…OR, the board triggers conversation, some “oooh” and “aaahhh”, some questions, and hopefully some stories. The former board most probably will be stored deep in a dark spot in the corner cabinet and not used again. The latter one….will be a star protagonist for further events.
Conversation triggering boards is what this site is about. Gourmet boards. Gourmet art.
My intention is that my boards are not overlooked. I want them to stand out. I want them to tell a story. I want the board to make the owner proud of.
So, here we are, all boards on this site were handcrafted in the US with domestic and exotic woods.
Each board is unique, there are not two identical boards since each piece is made individually by artisans hands. I do not consider the board a precision piece of industrial good. I rather consider it a piece of art, where I include variations each time, or sometimes the wood or some of my tools decide to carve deeper, to cut closer or to break off a piece that was not wanted (by them, not necessarily by me π ).
